Blood Circus

Blood Circus Biography

Blood Circus was an early, short-lived grunge band from Seattle, Washington. After a fairly successful single released in 1988, American record label Sub Pop released their first and only album, a 5-track EP called Primal Rock Therapy which, despite being now recognised as a milestone record of that time and place, was at the time panned by the critics and ignored by the public. This lead to the split of the band in 1990 after a US tour with the French band Les Thugs. They briefly reformed in 1992, when Sub Pop re-released "Primal Rock Therapy" on CD with almost all their recorded output. (Minus "The Outback" which can be found on the Sub Pop 200 compilation). (To be complete, the band can be seen performing a short fragment of an unreleased track titled "Calling for Lisa" in the Hype movie.)
